Bengal Tigers of Tadoba Photography Tour
Encounters with Bengal tigers, one horned rhinos, and other iconic Indian wildlife!
Tigers of Tadoba
Tadoba National Park has the largest population of Bengal Tigers in all of India, but receives relatively few visitors making it an ideal location for tiger photography.
Spend four full days tracking and photographing Asia’s largest felines within the beautiful teak wood forests of Tadoba. The park is also home to many other iconic Indian predators such as leopards, jungle cats, dholes (wild dogs), and sloth bears.
Rhinos of Kaziranga
After five nights in Tadoba we will relocate to Kaziranga National Park; a UNESCO world heritage site and home to two thirds of the world’s remaining population of One Horned Rhinoceros. This fabulous park (sprinkled with elephant-grass meadows, swampy lagoons, and dense forests) also supports healthy populations of Indian elephants, wild water buffalo, swamp deer, and more. Although not as abundant as Tadoba, you may see more tigers.

ITINERARY
Day 1
At noon we will pick you up from Nagpur Airport or nearby hotels, and transfer you to your luxury lodge on the edge of Tadoba National Park. The route through villages and bushland takes around 5hrs, after which you will be served a delicious dinner at the lodge, followed by a short briefing about what to expect over the coming days in Tadoba. In the evening you will have plenty of time to prepare cameras, relax at the bar, or stroll through the grounds.
Days 2-5
An early start! After a light pre-breakfast of fruit and tea (tea is a staple in India) you will board your safari jeep and head into the park. The earlier we depart the more likely we are to see tigers on the move, returning from the hunt, so we will arrive at the park gates by 6am. After a couple of hours concentrating on crepuscular wildlife, we will have a more substantial breakfast served in the park to keep you going until lunchtime.
Around 11:30am we will return to the hotel for lunch, then head back into the park for more tiger encounters until sunset. The park is home to a wealth of other animals including leopards, sloth bears, wild dogs, and numerous antelope and deer species; an important part of the tiger’s diet!
Dinner is served in the early evening, allowing plenty of time to download images, charge batteries, and relax before drifting off into dreams filled with tigers.
Days 6
After a final morning safari in Tadoba National Park, we will transfer you back to Nagpur for the flight to Guwahati where you will spend the night in a comfortable hotel.
Days 7
Breakfast in Guwahati, lunch at your luxury lodge at Kaziranga National Park. In the afternoon, you will head into the park for your first encounter with the iconic one horned rhinos and asiatic elephants.
Days 8-9
Two full days in the lush green landscapes of Kaziranga National Park photographing rhinos, elephants, and many other potential species including Indian gaur, swamp deer, barking deer, smoth coated otters, wild water buffalo, jungle cats, bengal tigers, leopards, and sloth bears.
Day 10
After a final immersive morning safari with the abundant wildlife of Kaziranga, we will bring you back to Guwahati Airport in time for an evening flight.
Optional 2 night primate photography extension
Although you will almost certainly see numerous troops of grey langurs during the trip, if you are keen to photograph a wider diversity of primates, we offer an opportunity to extend your stay at the lodge in Kaziranga for a trekking adventure with Hoolock Gibbons, Capped Langurs, Assamese macaques, Stump-tailed Macaques, and Pigtailed Macaques.

ANOTHER GREAT ADVENTURE WITH BIG FISH EXPEDITIONS
Just returned from my second trip with BFE and it went off perfectly. The true adventure of these trips always present challenging logistics but they pulled it off flawlessly. I would highly recommend BFE to anyone looking to get “off the grid” and experience a wildlife trip of a lifetime. I am looking forward to my next adventure with them. Thanks again!!

GO. YOU WILL NEVER REGRET IT!
I have been on 3 Big Fish Expeditions trips by now and have more trips to look forward to in the near future. First of all I share a big passion for sharks, whale and other big marine life and Big Fish Expedition is all about that. As an amateur photographer is great to be among equals and even better to get new tips and ideas from professionals.
Andy is very helpful showing new tricks and talk about UW photography in between dives. Sure the destinations offers world class diving but it’s also about the people and the relation to people and Andy surely gives everyone the feeling of being very welcome and try to give everyone a lifetime experience.
Another good thing is that Andy is maybe the only pro shooters who offers trips to very reasonable prices. I won’t go into details about all the good dives I’ve done with Big Fish but instead say GO, you will never regret it!

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING TIME WITH BIG FISH EXPEDITIONS
Andy is one of the best in the business. I would highly, highly recommend anyone interested in an animal focused trip to go with big fish expeditions.
The quality of experience and knowledge of the trip leader really sets them apart. Expect to get your fill of animals no matter what the trip is. Andy is also great at finding other animals to incorporate within the trips.
If you’re looking for a shark trip or big animal experience, this is your place. Period.
Enjoy!
