GALAPAGOS’ MUST DIVE ISLANDS

Wolf Island

Named after the geologist Theodore Wolf, this extinct volcano reaches 253m above sea level. Land visits are not permitted but lots of birds can be seen from the boat including red-footed boobies and vampire finch.

The island hosts numerous world class wall dives. Expect fast drifts among schooling pelagics including schooling scalloped hammerheads, galapagos sharks and whitetips. Divers should also be on the lookout for red-lipped batfish, baracudas, moray eels and dolphins!

Darwin Island

Named after famed naturalist Charles Darwin who’s theories on natural selection shaped the way many of us view the natural world.

Join us under Darwin’s Arch – perhaps the famous drift dive in the Galapagos where strong currents bring in clouds of scalloped hammerheads, blacktip sharks, Galapagos sharks and whitetips. You can also expect massive schools of jacks, turtles, curious dolphins and the occasional manta.

Fernandina Island

Although Douglas Cape on Fernandina Island would be a great dive on its own, the reason you must dive this island is to see the marine iguanas that feed on algae underwater. This is also a great place to find Galapagos bullhead sharks and Peruvian torpedo rays – all animals that are virtually impossible to find anywhere else. Most boats do not visit Fernandina but this is an important stop on our adventure!

Isabela Island

The largest island in the Galapagos archipelago has plenty to offer divers including wall dives, drifts among pelagic predators and endless great macro subjects. Anything can show up around Isabela including large mola-molas, hamerheads, turtles, pacific seahorses, Galapagos horn sharks, eagle rays, enormous schools of fish and more

The Galapagos Master

For this expedition we have chartered the Galapagos Master; the newest luxury liveaboard in the Galapagos Islands. Beautifully styled and thoughtfully designed to deliver you comfortably and efficiently to each dive site, the Galapagos Master has nine spacious double/twin cabins, a huge lounge, a spacious dining room, a sundeck bar and lots of shaded outdoor areas where you can relax between dives.

Shore Excursions

The Best of the Galapagos Expedition is designed to be a well rounded, action packed diving itinerary but where permitted, we will also sneak in one or two shore excursions to photograph the fauna and flora of the Galapagos that make this island chain unique.
