In previous years, we ran one group trip per year, which always went well, but there was a lot of interest from individuals that that wanted to see the Giant Salamanders, but could not fit our trips into their Japan vacation schedule. So we switched to private trips led by our Japanese guide.

This year we ran many Giant Salamander snorkeling trips between April and October, when the river is accessible. Every trip was very successful with many Giant Salamander encounters on each tour.
