DIVE WITH STRIPED LIGHTNING!

Each winter along the Pacific Coast of Baja, gigantic schools of sardines undertake an epic southerly migration. Many different predators congregate to feast on the bounty but perhaps the most elegant and spectacular hunters that participate are the lightning fast striped marlins.

Join me in December when the marlins drive the sardines to the surface to feed. But be ready to also jump in with other bill fish, sharks, mola molas and whales. Anything is possible off of Baja's wild west coast!

WHAT'S INCLUDED:

Five days of free-diving with striped marlin, whales and sharks.

Six nights hotel accommodation.

Breakfast and a light lunch onboard.

Experienced guide and captain.

Transfers to/from La Paz International Airport.

FREE DIVE WITH MANY DIFFERENT PELAGIC PREDATORS!

Baitballs form when marlin, other sport fish, dolphins and sharks force migrating baitfish into a defensive mode in which they crowd together for protection. Even large whales sometimes join in the feeding frenzy. Expect the unexpected!

Depending on the action, we may also chum for sharks that migrate close to shore at that time of year. Blue sharks and mako sharks are the most likely species to race up our chum slick but there are a number of other possible species that we might see including silkies and even thresher sharks.
